Dilemma

Today, soccer practice went really well. Joshua participated without making a fuss. He still said he misses Coach Cindy though.

On the way home, I told him how proud of him I was and what a good job he had done. He didn't think he had done a good job because he only scored one goal. I immediately went into Mommy mode and told him that I was very proud of him because he did a great job of listening to the coach, he did a great job of following directions, he did a great job by getting out there and practicing, he did a great job playing the best that he could, he did a great job of keeping the ball close, he did a great job of keeping the others from scoring...He seemed to feel better.

Coach Alex commented to me on how well Joshua did today. I told him we had to be sure he didn't wear a character shirt to practice. Coach Alex then said he almost said something about Joshua's Manchester United shirt he was wearing but thought better of it...At least he is perceptive!

Now, our dilemma...Team picture day is the same day as our breakfast with Spongebob. If you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll remember that last year we were supposed to have breakfast with Spongebob but I forgot so we had to do breakfast with Spider-man instead...Well, Spongebob is coming back, I have bought our tickets, Joshua knows we are supposed to go, but he doesn't know when it is. So, if we do miss it, I can always make something up...I'll have to think about it...

And an additional note, Joshua was practicing his writing and sounding out words tonight. The words he wanted to write? Wolfman, Dracula, Frankenstein, Mummy, Invisible Man and Creature from the Black Lagoon...Yep, he's mine!
